Hand Drawn Javanese Batik Sarongs

Chandicraft, Javanese batik is hand drawn on silk or cotton employing time-honoured techniques and are both classic and modern in design.

Each batik sarong is hand drawn and takes four months to create. The intricate process of illustrating is accomplished by highly skilled female artisans. The dyeing process is carried out by expert craftsmen. The black and gold classic sarongs are coloured using only natural dyes, derived from trees and plants.

The sarongs/fabric measure 225cm x 115cm and may be worn, used as wall hangings or made into home furnishings such as curtains and cushion covers.

The fine detail and exceptional quality of our sarongs have to be experienced to be believed. Every sarong is truly a work of art to be treasured!
