The Dhyana
Mudra is the mudra of meditation and for the
attainment of spiritual perfection. Said to be the mudra assumed
by Lord Buddha whilst meditating under the Bo Tree
before his Enlightenment.
The Vitaka Mudra,
is
the mudra of reason. The right hand or
both hands may be raised. The thumb
and forefinger are joined at the tips, forming a circle representing
perfection, which is eternal
The Abhaya
Mudra, is the mudra
of fearlessness and the granting of protection. The right hand is raised
above right thigh with palm facing out, fingers pointing up. Said to be the
mudra of Lord Buddha immediately after attaining enlightenment.
